Would you like to be part of an exciting new project exploring the things that make and influence life in Norwich? What things do you consider important in life? What do you like and not like and what matters to you?
The Norwich Good Economy Commission (NGEC for short) has set up a project to ask people about their thoughts, feelings and wishes regarding where and how they live, paying attention to voices from often underrepresented members of the community, including: unpaid carers, younger people, older people, BAME communities, faith and women in faith communities, people with disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health.
So, what does this mean?
NGEC has created a collaborative community building game, inviting participants to explore ideas of everything that contributes to their community, what changes they want to see, and identifying the skills within the community which are already available.
Who wants to play a game?
Fun game playing events will be set up around Norwich, inviting people to join in and chat about what matters to them.
Anyone for ART?
Following on from exploring ideas of community and what it means to live in Norwich, we will support people to find and develop creative ways to express the subjects of the conversations: drama, video-making, song, paintings, collage, murals, photography, recorded voices…whatever people would like to get involved with and create.
The culmination of the art works will be exhibited in pop-up exhibitions and events around Norwich and celebrated with a final exhibition in 2022.
