Virtual Briefing (1): Easing out of Lockdown and Heading for the “New Normal”
Clapham & Collinge Solicitors are presenting a remote briefing via Zoom in two parts over two consecutive days on 30th June and 1st July.
This will cover all the practical and legal implications of what the "new normal" could look like and what is needed to get there. This free-to-attend briefing is intended for all businesses and charities especially those employing staff many of whom will need reassurance that it is safe to return to work.
Chaired by Partner Neale Grearson, the other presenters will be Nicola Strefford (covering Employment Law), Michael Olmer (covering Property Law), Jamie Pearson (covering IT), Kate Smith (covering Landlord and Tenant Law) and Philip Lumb (covering Litigation).
There will be an opportunity to ask questions as the format will be interactive as well as an opportunity to discuss the issues with other people attending the event.
Each session will last for 1½ hours from 11.00am to 12:30pm as follows:
Tuesday 30th June:
- Employment law issues including bringing staff out of furlough leave
- Health and safety considerations and responsibilities of employer to keep workplace safe
Wednesday 1st July:
- New ways of working – IT and working from home
- GDPR considerations
- Reducing the need for places to work – will you still need the same space as before and amount of office accommodation?
Many of the issues arising will be practical ones as well as legal so the presenters will be able to give their perspective on what the "new normal" is likely to be in this very different world that we are all faced with.
