We have a trained group of volunteers who support others in the community to improve their digital skills and confidence. The volunteers work out of Digital Hubs and with membership organisations in Norwich. They are also DBS-checked and can work one to one in people's homes.
Volunteers can help with all sorts of things regarding technology, including using tablets, desktops/PCs, laptops and smartphones. Activities may include: job searching and making CVs, general IT skills such as browsing the web, setting up and maintaining emails, searching for new things online, digital reminiscence... Anything really!
Volunteers have lots of skills including - attention to detail, listening Skills, coaching skills, motivating others, team work, verbal communication, customer focus, interpersonal skills and teamwork. And of course, IT knowledge!!!
If your organisation is looking for some digital champions to support your members, or if you personally are looking for some help to go online, then do get in touch. The project is funded to support people living in Norwich.
