Ormiston Families - Breaking Barriers

  • Access: Referral needed
  • Location: Norfolk

Ormiston Families work with families across the East of England who need guidance to see a brighter future. By building resilience, we support them to feel safe, healthy and in control of their own wellbeing.

The Breaking Barriers service is a funded intervention service for children and young people who have a close family member in prison. It comprises 6-8 one to one sessions which take place in school or at home, and focus on supporting emotional wellbeing, improving relationships impacted by the imprisonment, increasing knowledge and understanding of prison, and supporting the young person to build upon their resilience.
